First:
The latest of what’s going on related to development in Douglas County. Here’s a notice from Douglas County on beginning the process of the 2040 Comprehensive Master Plan update. (CMP). If you will recall, it was the language of the CMP that made clear Franktown was to stay rural. Without community input and pressure, there’s a possibility this could be changed! Obviously, for numerous reasons, not the least of which is the water issue, we don’t want this changed. But on a broader perspective, wouldn’t it be nice if we could work together —county and public—to stop the crazy growth in Douglas County (water, traffic, schools problems, etc.) by having our voices heard on how we would like to see Douglas County grow in the future?
