Bannockburn (sub-division) resident commented:
“I attended the meeting yesterday […]. County staff seemed, to me, to be trying very hard (too hard) to find a way to reinterpret adjacent parcel zoning that would allow the developer to meet the adjacency requirement and make the rezoning request legal. I.e. they seemed to be going out of their way to help make it happen. š “
Whispering Pines (sub-division) resident commented:
“The County Commissioners passed the re-zoning [Hilltop/Flintwood area]. Watch out Douglas County, they don’t care about you. They want wall to wall houses from county line to county line. I remain amused that the DOCO web site shows only pastoral scenes….when we all know, it’s not gonna be like that much longer. False advertising? Clearly their minds were made up prior to our presentation. Very sad day for rural life here.”
