WE DID IT !
NOW COME TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION CONTINUED HEARING DATE ON
JUNE 5TH . BE THERE AT 6:00 OR EARLIER!
For those unable to attend the Planning Commission hearing last night you missed an amazing example of our Community and our Constitution in action! It was thrilling. It gave me goosebumps to see hundreds of people pouring in the through the doors and packing the hearing room to be heard in their opposition of the proposed “Franktown Village” rezoning application. What an amazing, awesome community of people coming together to stand up to work to save our little piece of rural community left in Douglas County.
NOW–how do we all keep the momentum going? That is of paramount importance!
The developers right now are hoping and praying that the Franktown community will gradually get tired and stop coming to the hearings. Because of all of you, there will be several hearings over the next few months for both the Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners after that. Remember that all of you are the ones who have done this and be proud!! I spoke with many last night and asked that question: “Will you continue to stand? Will you continue to come?” To a person they said, “We will not stop coming, we will not give up.” SO:
- Bring a friend each time you come.
- Bring family members. Bring children to see their constitution in action.
- Send out the rallying cry to all of your neighbors that we will be there for every single hearing to pack the hearing room for all of the Planning Commission hearings until the last person is heard and then we will pack the Board of County Commissioners hearings until the last person is heard!! This is how we get their attention to show we will stand for this community!
