25 April 2017 SaveFranktown Meeting!!!!

Attend!

advocateHi Everyone,

Important fire station meeting on Tuesday, April 25th at 6:30.

TUESDAY MEETING:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

There will be a lot of information on the agenda that night. One of the most important is that Mike Mullinix, past president of the FCC II, will be presenting a synopsis of the problems/changes/issues that the new FVPD rezoning application will bring to Franktown if the Board of County Commissioners passes it.

NOMINATIONS FOR NEW SECRETARY:

We have, unfortunately, lost our terrific Secretary, Rose Martinez, because she had to move to New Mexico for family reasons. At the Tuesday meeting your Board will be asking for nominations/volunteers for that position. This gives the new Secretary the opportunity to be involved in all of the work that your Board and Steering Committee are doing, as well as helping out the community have a record of all that is going on.

FLYER FOR INFORMATION NOW AVAILABLE (Download):

Steering Committee member, Dick Savage, has done a superb job putting together a flyer that will give you substantive information and Douglas County contact information on this proposed rezoning application to change Franktown for good! I have attached a copy here. There is a copy on the savefranktown.com website, Facebook, and Nextdoor (Major thanks to Mark Rabideau your FCC II webmaster!! What a great job!!). There will be hard copies at the meeting on Tuesday. Thank you Dick!

PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING:

We will discuss procedures for signing up and speaking at the hearing. VERY IMPORTANT. The Douglas County Planning Department staff have indicated that the hearing will be May 15th but it’s still not formally set. It requires only a two week notice so keep checking on the Douglas County website at, “Meetings and Agendas.”

REMEMBER:

  • GET INVOLVED
  • GET INFORMED
  • ATTEND THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HEARINGS AND SIGN UP TO SPEAK UP. LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD!

Looking forward to seeing all of you Tuesday at the fire station!

ONWARD!!

Diana Love
President, FCC II
