Hi Everyone,
On Thursday, January 23rd the FCC II will hold a community meeting at the Franktown firestation from 6:00 – 8:00.
The purpose of the meeting:
- Explain the facts on the Independence “water grab” regarding the developer’s filing in state water court to amend the Upper Dawson portion of the present Independence water decree. Attached you will find the four main documents on this issue for the meeting.
- What is the legal process involved in opposing this in the water court?
- What are our options, both as a community together or individually?
- What is the cost of each option?
If after the presentation and discussion the community decides we want to go forward and file an Opposition in state water court to the developer’s requested amendment, there will be a petition available at the meeting for everyone’s signature that will be attached to the Opposition filing.
